Try a shade in a light linen for the home office: plenty of light but nothing glary that might make screens hard to read. In the bedroom why not try out a coloured LED bulb? Red will certainly look romantic, especially with a vintage 60s style shade in orange or yellow. Try this combination in overhead lighting so the whole room gets this ambiance. You can do something similar in the living room using incandescent-style bulbs, which have a very warm, golden feel--just the thing for cozy nights in. Try these with veneered wooden shades on a copper floor lamp: an old school look that’s extremely inviting.
