Don’t get us wrong, we love almost everything about industrial chic decor. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and extremely functional—well, most of the time! If you’ve ever been stuck in an old factory elevator trying to get to a cool party or a swanky start-up’s office, you’ll know that industrial chic is best when it’s truly livable. These industrial rugs are just that: absolutely stunning and totally practical. They’re a lot warmer than concrete floors and exposed brick too!

With this collection our mind goes right to rooms we’re looking to show off in. Entertaining guests is easy with a thick shag rug in the neutral tones and patterns of industrial design (rich slates and organic, wooly beiges are choice), plus it will look fantastic next to plush vintage leather couches and a distressed wood coffee table. Maybe it’s because of the prodigious Hilla and Bernd Becher and their drop-dead gorgeous black-and-white photos of factories, but we tend to think of luscious prints from yesteryear as being the best visual accompaniment to the industrial look, so pick out a few vintage B&W prints to impress your pals. Don’t forget lighting either: copper wall lights will keep things sensuous and still let you read without eye strain.

We like to show-off in the bedroom too, and industrial chic is a fantastic way to show you’re #adulting even off the clock in your personal sanctuary. Try a large area rug that can encompass your bed and most of your room for a supremely cozy vibe, and if you're still living with an old bed frame from your college days upgrade to something in wrought-iron to absolutely nail this look.
