Have you been decorating your flat with the same ratty posters you’ve had since uni? Time for an update. Our collection of wall art will turn your interiors game up to a 10. These art prints come in vibrant colors and cool, contemporary designs - a far cry from your old Bob Marley poster.
All our wall art prints are printed to order on archival art paper. We use sun-resistant inks on state-of-the-art Giclée printers - the same printers used by museums and art galleries across the world. This means that they’ll look super vibrant as long as they adorn your walls, and long after you take them down (we don’t think you’ll ever want to take them down, though).
If you want a more polished look, you can opt to frame your poster with one of our handcrafted wooden frames - just pick your fave, pop it in your basket, and your new poster will show up at your door, all framed and ready to go.
We have thousands of unique posters designed by over 250 artists around the world, so you’re bound to find something you love. A vintage-style poster for the kitchen? From monochromatic word art to boldly-coloured illustrations and edgy photography, our posters will suit any style.
Choosing Your Poster
Now, the fun part: picking your perfect poster It might sound obvious, but take a sec to really think about your style. You’re an adult now, and picking a poster for your home is a whole new ball game. Our golden rule: it’s all about your personal style. Don’t think too much about the trends - trends die, so you want something that’ll speak to you long after the fads have faded. Also, think about the kind of energy you want to bring to a room - maybe you want a peaceful bedroom, or a fun and bright kitchen. It’s your life, do what you want. Just one thing, though - playing with color is great, but try not to overdo it. Too many bright colors will burn your retinas, while clashing patterns look gaudy. Try to stay in the same color family - warm, cool, muted, etc.
Generally speaking, your poster should be half the size of the piece of furniture it’s hanging above. If you’re doing a gallery wall, you can grab a small-sized poster to mix amongst your other pieces. You can also grab some smaller-sized posters and arrange them in a gallery wall - just make sure the colors of the prints compliment each other. We’re all about creative placing, too - hanging art in unexpected spots can really elevate a space.
Hanging Your Poster
So you’ve got your perfect poster, and you’ve decided to pop it in one of our handcrafted wooden frames. But - oops - the only time you’ve handled a hammer is, well, never. Don’t freak - it’s really super simple. For most posters, just ol’ nail-in-the-wall will do. If your poster is really heavy, you may need some kind of anchor to hang it, or more than one nail. To avoid a wonky frame, you’re going to need to mark out where you’re hanging your poster first. You can do it the old fashioned way with a tape measurer and some painter’s tape, but since we live in the future, we prefer to use an app to do the hard bit for us. You’ll find lots of options on the app store, but our favourite one is Hang-a-Pic - it’ll tell you exactly where each nail should be placed.
Renters, we hear ya: a hole in your wall means a hole in your deposit. Luckily, you’ve got options. Our favourite way to hang a poster without a nail is… by not hanging it at all. You can put framed posters of varying sizes on the floor and lean them against the wall - it’ll give your room a little bit of that cool-without-trying chicness. You can also put unhung prints on top of dressers, floating shelves… anywhere there’s an elevated surface.
If you’re really set on putting your poster on the wall, there’s plenty of ways you can avoid a hole-y disaster. We have two words for you: command strips. These babies are a godsend for deposit-conscious renters. You can find them at pretty much any DIY store, and all you have to do is place a few along your frame for a wall-friendly hanging solution.
Of course, our posters will also look fab unframed. To avoid that dorm room look, you can put them up with a bit of decorative tape, or clip them along a clothesline for a boho look.
Once you’ve got your new poster all up and hung, stand back and congratulate yourself for adulting so hard. See? This grown-up thing is easy.
