Inspired by the mooring bollards seen on wharves, Patrick Hartog designed his ceramic cable lights with a simple yet sophisticated aesthetic in mind. With the cable wrapped around the shade and the metal ring on top, the light achieves balance while reminiscent of the strong metal of the bollards.

Created by slip casting, the original shape is made out of plaster moulded on a lathe. Their manufacturing is both social and local, only working with ceramists within close proximity to their Rotterdam base.
